£300 – £350 per day

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Assessing the existing commercial landscape and looking at the impact on programme delivery; Designing and implementing approaches which ensure effective delivery of the right outcome for the department; Leading on supplier integration with regards to relationship and cost impact upon the department; Clarifying the ability to terminate current contracts, working with programme finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any potential benefits


•MCIPS, or CIPS foundation

• Extensive knowledge and experience of Public Sector procurement processes and relevant EU/ UK legislation and case law

•Experience in undertaking end to end procurement projects including initiating, commencing and concluding OJEU procurements and GPS Framework ‘Further Competitions’

• Experience of IT category management and undertaking of end to end IT related procurements

•A proven track record of delivering efficient and effective procurement of goods and services •Excellent commercial skills, including negotiation, cost and service management, contracting, relationship management and legal awareness

•Experience of contract managing service contracts

• Working in the public sector and a strong understanding of the challenges posed by the public sector procurement regime

•Strong written and oral communication skills; an ability to interact confidently with suppliers, and produce and represent structured arguments in writing and orally

•Strong IT skills, particularly the ability to manipulate data using Excel
